With just over a month until the 2019 Super Series kicks off, teams are finalising their rosters as riders fine tune their preparations for South Australia’s premier road series.

One of the most prominent names across all categories is the USG team with their elite women squad coming back to the 2019 series stronger than ever.

After last years third place overall through Eloise Vaughan, the team comes back with a strong squad hoping to improve on that result. Scoring points in every race was a key to their success and a real team effort as they narrowly missed out on the teams podium for the series.

Amber Pate moves over from Gravier Cycle Collective to strengthen the team as she juggles both her cycling and triathlon commitments and Stacey Riedel stays on from last years series to add some horsepower. Riedel as well as Kayla McSporran will look to also provide a mentoring role for the younger riders which has been one of the teams main focuses for past series.

“As always the teams goal is to perform strongly and get a result for our sponsors, however our mission has always been to provide a pathway for new or young riders to learn and grow into the sport of cycling and feel they have a team of like minded women behind them to support and encourage.”

Providing a pathway for youngsters is evident in the rest of their squad being littered in young South Australian talent including the likes of Eloise Sandow, Heather May, Fleur Wellings and Jenna Bennett.

With teams across almost every category, Adelaide based IT company United Solutions Group (USG) has become one of the major sponsors of local racing in South Australia. Along with electrical engineering construction company PSD and coffee house Coffylosophy, the team represents a solid sponsor stable platform which allows their riders to thrive.

While USG are no doubt looking forward to the crits including the new points race around Victoria Park, the round 3 Cooper Coast classic is their favourite as it allows a unique setting to socialise with the rest of the South Australian cycling community, a rare opportunity at races.
