With the first three rounds of the 2021 MetroMap Super Series underway, it’s time for the 99 Bikes Junior Super Series to get underway for the remainder of the Series’ racing! Juniors from U9 to U17 will race in ability grades A-D from October 9 through November 20, with entry open now and a Series Pass available for automatic entry in all events.
Beginning on October 9, a criterium at Pakapakanthi on the morning of the Game Ready Therapy Points Race will kick things off for the Juniors at 9am before the Senior racing gets underway after 10am.
Two weeks later, at Aldinga Beach on Saturday October 23, the riders in the 99 Bikes Junior Super Series will warm up the crit circuit on the Esplanade once again in the morning – which has typically had the best weather down there on the coast!
Just a week’s break for the A and B graders who will compete at the Gawler Eastlink Kermesse the following Saturday (Oct 30) and tackle the technical and hilly course which provides some much-needed elevation in the Series.\
Kicking into November we’ll have the East End Street Race, where these Juniors will get to race the same closed-road city-circuit in Adelaide’s East End on Sunday, November 7, on some of the same roads many of them would have seen WorldTour pros racing around the old People’s Choice Classic criterium in years past.
The 99 Bikes Junior Super Series will culminate in the Junior racing at the Unley Oval reserve Criterium! A great little crit course right in the inner Southern suburbs, this is a great place to race a bike, tucked away behind Unley Rd with wide streets and a tricky little “cobbled” chicane on the first straight.
We’re excited for the 2021 Junior Super Series to get underway, and in the meantime make sure you get your names on the start list either for the Series Pass here, or round-by round entries if you can’t make them all over at our Entryboss Page.
