For the first time ever, the roads around Lenswood will host the elite Super Series – during Round 5 of the series, on Sunday 28 October.
The only Team Time Trial on the Super Series calendar will be a spectacular event, as cyclists ride some of the most scenic roads in the Adelaide hills.
To add to the excitement, Cycling SA were sure to find a Team Time Trial course that is a little bit different – and it will certainly throw up some tactical challenges! Starting at the Lenswood Cricket Club, the course will feature the entire length of Swamp Road. Framed by apple and pear orchards, it works its way through rolling hills before taking a turn at the finish to head up Stentifords Hill. This hill is just over 1km averaging over 10%.
Available after the event

A team time trial with a hill?! Bound to make things interesting with all the tactical decisions it necessitates. Do teams commit for the stage win, and leave their sprinters behind? Or do they nurse their GC riders up the hill in the interests of the overall classifications?
