HALO ALDINGA BEACH CRITERIUM
SUPER SERIES ROUND 6 / JUNIOR SUPER SERIES ROUND 2
Presented by Healthy Active Lifestyles Onkaparinga, the HALO Aldinga Beach Criterium is an all-new venue for the Cycling SA Super Series. Having undergone a few tweaks and changes throughout the planning process, this criterium will be a 1km, 3-corner crit that could suit a fast bunch finish or a race of attrition, depending on which way the wind goes!
Just one day before the BikeSA Fleurieu Fondo takes place a stone's throw away at McLaren Vale, this is a great opportunity to book a holiday house, spend the weekend down South and make a little getaway of it.
Cycling SA have paired with Ride-a-Bike-Right to deliver some sessions for anyone to learn to ride - for free! They will be doing 45 minute sessions for people aged 4 and up to learn to ride a bike under the direction of accredited coaches, and in the middle of the day we'll have two opportunities for local school-age kids to get out and have some fun on the course. Pre-registration will be necessary for these sessions, so make sure you head on over to the link here and register for a session!
The closed-roads criterium course will be opened up to any school age kid on a bike to ride around at 12:30PM, followed by a one-lap individual time trial Hot Lap where kids will race the clock for one lap of the course on their own!
We are excited to deliver this new crit venue and are grateful to the business owners in the area for being supportive of our bike racing!
The racing will kick off in the morning, with the fastest racing occurring over lunch time. Note program subject to change, please confirm closer to the event date.
