Round One | Victoria Park Criterium
Sunday October 1

Round One of the Cycling South Australia Super Series kicks off at Victoria Park. With six different grades and over 30 teams taking in the action, it's going to be a day jam-packed with racing!

The day starts off with the Cat 2 teams, before building to the main attractions of the series; the Elite Women and Men. Some of the fastest bike racers in the country scheduled to take part, including the New Zealand National Champion Joe Cooper!

In 2016, Round One saw some furious racing. In the Elite Women, it was a surprise winner in Victoria Veitch (Mercedes Benz-BlackChrome). Veitch is no stranger to winning races, but her skill set traditionally comes to the fore when the gradients increase. It was her race craft which saw her overcome rising SASI superstar Maeve Plouffe.

The Elite's Men it was the experienced Russel van Hout who got the better of the field, taking the victory over Lightsview teammate Justin Gassner.
