ROUND 2-3: tour of Loxton
26-27 sEPTEMBER
The series heads regional for a weekend away, with Saturday's road race returning in the same configuration as 2025. The question is whether the wind plays ball this time, last year's edition turned into a brutal race of attrition, and slightly kinder conditions could give us a very different complexion of racing. Saturday’s racing will be based at the Loxton North Golf Course kicking off at 10:30am to allow the drive from Adelaide or a sleep in for those deciding to stay locally.
Sunday brings a brand-new course: a 3.5km kermesse along the riverfront, climbing toward the highway before dropping past the caravan park and around into a fast, flat finish. With gradients exceeding 10%, expect bunches to get strung out fast on legs still carrying yesterday's fatigue. Sunday’s racing will have the start/finish line at the Loxton Boat Ramp Reserve on the corner of Grant Schubert Dr & McMillian St.
Thanks to the District Council of Loxton Waikerie for their continued support of this event.
